Exclusive First Hatchet II Blu-ray and DVD News!

You can thank Time Warner Cable's Internet outage for us not getting this news to you about an hour or so ago, but some things? Some things are TOTALLY worth the wait!

While a more official announcement is to follow soon, we can tell you that Adam Green'sHatchet IIwill be released on DVD and Blu-ray on February 1st, 2011. Additional info, including bonus materials and art, will be announced soon.

For fans who don't want to wait until 2/1, they can catch the full, uncensored version on VOD tomorrow (12/3). Ah .... so good, no?

Hatchet IIpicks up right where the 2007 original film ends, as Marybeth (Danielle Harris fromHalloween) escapes from the clutches of the deformed, swamp-dwelling killer Victor Crowley (Kane Hodder fromFriday the 13thsequels). Marybeth returns to the Louisiana swamps along with an army of hunters to recover the bodies of her family and exact her revenge against Victor Crowley. The film also stars other genre icons including Tony Todd, Tom Holland and well known names including Parry Shen, AJ Bowen and others.
